AAdvantage® – World of Hyatt® terms and conditions

Individuals who are both World of Hyatt members and AAdvantage® members can earn benefits and rewards, including:

  • New Loyalty Point Rewards: Unlock World of Hyatt status and Free Night Awards at several levels.
  • Enhance with Miles opportunities: Redeem miles for World of Hyatt Free Night Awards.

To earn, you must:

  • Be both a World of Hyatt member and an AAdvantage® member
  • Link your AAdvantage® account to your World of Hyatt account
  • Terms apply

Linking your AAdvantage® account to your World of Hyatt account

Participating in the benefits and rewards described on this page requires you to link your AAdvantage® and World of Hyatt accounts.

In order to link your accounts, you must:

  • Be a member in good standing of both the AAdvantage® program and the World of Hyatt program
  • Ensure that your first and last name as listed in your AAdvantage® account matches your first and last name as listed in your World of Hyatt account
  • Be at least 18 years old. By linking your accounts, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old

If you qualify, you may link your accounts from your AAdvantage® account page or from your World of Hyatt account page; however, you do not need to link your accounts from both locations.

Once linked, your accounts will remain linked. You may unlink your AAdvantage® and World of Hyatt accounts. Learn more in the section on unlinking your AAdvantage® account from your World of Hyatt account. American Airlines or Hyatt may, at any time and without notice, unlink your accounts. Once your accounts are unlinked, you will no longer be able to participate in any promotions, benefits or rewards that require your accounts to be linked.

Once your AAdvantage® and World of Hyatt accounts are linked, American Airlines will share with Hyatt information about your AAdvantage® account and receive from Hyatt information about your World of Hyatt account. American Airlines and Hyatt will also share with each other information related to your award activity in the AAdvantage® and World of Hyatt programs.

After linking your AAdvantage® and World of Hyatt accounts, if you would like American Airlines to stop sharing your information with Hyatt, then you must unlink your accounts. Learn more in the section on unlinking your accounts. However, if you unlink your AAdvantage® and World of Hyatt accounts you will no longer be able to receive any promotions, benefits or rewards that require your accounts to be linked.

American Airlines’ treatment of your information, including information about you that American Airlines receives from Hyatt, will be in accordance with American Airlines’ privacy policy. American Airlines is responsible for marketing activities conducted by American Airlines, but American Airlines is not responsible for any marketing activities conducted by Hyatt. American Airlines is not responsible for Hyatt’s World of Hyatt program, your transactions with Hyatt, Hyatt’s marketing activities, or Hyatt’s use of your information, including information about you that American Airlines provides to Hyatt.

American Airlines privacy policy

Hyatt is responsible for its use of your information, including information about you that American Airlines provides to Hyatt. Hyatt’s use of your information is governed by Hyatt’s privacy policy. Hyatt is responsible for marketing activities conducted by Hyatt, but Hyatt is not responsible for any marketing activities conducted by American Airlines.

As a member of both the AAdvantage® program and World of Hyatt, you may be contacted with information about promotions offered by American Airlines and / or Hyatt. You can manage your AAdvantage® email preferences from your AAdvantage® account page, and you can manage your World of Hyatt email preferences from your World of Hyatt account page.

To unlink your accounts, you must either:

  • Call AAdvantage® customer service at 800-882-8880 (or your AAdvantage® status reservation number), Monday – Friday, 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. (CT); or
  • Call World of Hyatt customer service according to your region

You do not need to call both AAdvantage® customer service and World of Hyatt customer service in order to unlink your accounts.
