Once you qualify for Loyalty Choice Rewards in 2022, you can choose your reward any time between the date you qualify and March 30, 2023. This gives you the flexibility to decide when to choose your reward, based on when you want to use it.
For example, if you qualify in May 2022, your membership year is valid through February 2024. That means you’ll have until March 30, 2023, to choose your reward. If you have more than one reward choice, you can choose one after qualifying and the other later, or both rewards later. It’s up to you.

Admirals Club® access
Relax before the runway in an Admirals Club® and partner lounges worldwide. Qualifying members can select 6 One-Day Passes or an individual membership.
$200 discount / Trip Credit
Set your sights on your next adventure. Your $200 flight discount or Trip Credit can be used for travel anywhere on American or partner airlines.
AAdvantage® bonus miles
Redeem miles for flights, upgrades, car rentals, hotels and other retail products. AAdvantage Platinum Pro® and AAdvantage Executive Platinum® members who are also AAdvantage® credit cardmembers receive additional bonus miles.
*This bonus does not apply to Level 3 - 5 rewards in 2022.
Systemwide upgrades
Here’s to flying upfront. Enjoy a confirmed upgrade to the next class of service anywhere American flies or on British Airways transatlantic flights, if seats are available. Systemwide upgrades can be used for one-way travel for up to 3 segments on American marketed and operated flights, British Airways marketed and operated flights, or British Airways operated flights marketed by American. Systemwide upgrades will be valid for 1 year from the date of selection, giving you the flexibility to choose your expiration date based on when you select your reward.
Once selected, you have even more flexibility, because systemwide upgrades can be used for travel beyond the expiration date – the upgrade just needs to be confirmed before the upgrade expires.
Carbon emissions offset
Offset your carbon emissions and join us in our commitment to a greener tomorrow. American, in partnership with nonprofit Cool Effect, will purchase carbon offsets equivalent to the AAdvantage® status member’s travel during the year the benefit is selected. The carbon offsets purchased via Cool Effect are high-quality, verified carbon reduction projects that help protect and conserve our planet’s resources.

Make a charitable donation to one of our partner nonprofits and join us as we work to make the world a better place. Through your donation, you help people in need around the world discover a brighter future and better tomorrow. The available charities include:

15% off award discount (rebate post travel)
Your 15% off award discount is a rebate that will be applied post travel and can be used to discount the miles required for AAdvantage® awards for up to 2 passengers traveling round-trip anywhere on American, oneworld® airlines or partner airlines. The award must be redeemed from the selecting member’s account but can be applied to travel by anyone of the member’s choosing. Valid for 1 year from the date of selection.

Let your music take flight. Choose from Bang & Olufsen premium products, including noise-canceling headphones, wireless earbuds or a portable Bluetooth speaker. While supplies last.
Gift of AAdvantage® status
Be the hero and gift status to the friend, family member or colleague of your choosing. Depending on your reward option, your recipient will receive all the benefits of either AAdvantage Gold® or AAdvantage Platinum® status.
Terms and conditions
- Only customers who qualify according to the published qualification requirements and fly a minimum of 30 eligible flight segments are eligible for Loyalty Choice Rewards.
- Members qualifying for the Loyalty Choice Rewards starting March 1, 2022 will be eligible to choose rewards between the date of qualification and March 30, 2023.
- Members may only select Admirals Club® membership once per membership year; all other rewards can be selected more than once.
- Expiration date and associated terms and conditions vary by reward, so please review all terms and conditions carefully.
- Reward selections are final and cannot be changed, exchanged or modified after selection.
- Offers and rewards are subject to change without notice.
Systemwide upgrades
- Use systemwide upgrades to move up to the next class of service (First or Business) on American-marketed and operated flights
- Use systemwide upgrades on transatlantic flights to move from Economy to Premium Economy, from Premium Economy to Business, or from Business to First on British Airways marketed and operated flights, or British Airways operated flights marketed by American
- Valid anywhere American flies
- Upgrades are confirmed if space is available at time of request, or waitlisted
- 1 systemwide upgrade can be used for a single one-way trip (maximum of 3 flights)
- Systemwide upgrades are valid for 1 year from the date of selection; upgrades can be used for travel beyond the expiration date as long as the upgrade is confirmed before the upgrade expires
- You can share your systemwide upgrades with anyone you choose, whether you are traveling with them or not

AAdvantage® bonus miles
- AAdvantage® bonus miles awarded through this offer don’t count toward status qualification or your Million Miler™ balance
- AAdvantage® bonus miles awarded through this offer are subject to expiration according to the general AAdvantage® program terms and conditions
- Once selected, bonus miles will be deposited into your American Airlines AAdvantage® account within 48 hours
Additional 5,000 or 10,000 mile bonus (does not apply to Levels 3-5):
- The additional AAdvantage® bonus miles for AAdvantage® credit card holders will be awarded automatically if your American Airlines AAdvantage® account at aa.com shows you have an open AAdvantage® credit card at the time the reward is chosen. The AAdvantage® bonus miles won’t be applied retroactively
- If you’ve recently opened a card account, please allow sufficient time for it to be reflected in your AAdvantage® account before choosing your reward
- No action is required from you to link the credit card to your AAdvantage® account
- This benefit only applies to the primary credit card holder’s AAdvantage® account
- This includes AAdvantage® credit cards outside the U.S.

- By accessing any Admirals Club® lounge, pass holder shall be deemed to have accepted the Admirals Club® terms and conditions
- Passes are valid for 1 year from the date of selection
- Day pass is non-refundable, non-changeable, non-transferable, and valid only on date of visit. Day pass is only valid for use by the named pass-holder as printed on the day pass

Admirals Club® membership
- You can only select membership if you don’t have an active membership of any type
- You may only select membership once during a single qualification period
- Membership is an individual membership
- This is a non-transferable membership, valid from the date of selection through the end of your AAdvantage® status membership year

$200 American Airlines Trip Credit
$200 American Airlines Trip Credit terms and conditions:
for customers residing in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and U.S. Virgin Islands
- Trip Credit expires 1 year from the date of issue
- Trip Credit is redeemable online at aa.com or with American Airlines Reservations at 800-433-7300 toward the purchase of base air fare and directly associated taxes, fees and charges that are collected as part of the fare calculation for travel
- If the ticket price is greater than the value of the Trip Credit, you may pay the difference only with a credit card accepted by American
- Trip Credit won’t be replaced for any reason
- Trip Credit is non-refundable, non-transferable, may not be sold and has no cash redemption value

$200 paper voucher terms and conditions:
for customers residing outside the U.S., Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands
- Transportation vouchers issued by American are valid for 1 year from the date of issue
- Although the value must be applied toward the ticket purchase before that date, the travel may extend past that date
- Transportation vouchers may be used toward the purchase of a ticket for future travel on American, American Eagle® or any American-marketed codeshare flight
- The voucher may also be used on any of the airlines in our oneworld® alliance, provided American is the international carrier (international flights are defined as transatlantic, transpacific and flights to and from South America)
- While a voucher may not be transferred, bartered or sold, you may use your voucher toward the purchase of a ticket for a friend or family member, if you choose
- There are no travel embargo dates imposed due to using a voucher
- Please allow 6-8 weeks to receive your voucher

Carbon emissions offset
- Carbon offsets are bought in the year following the reward selection and calculated based on the status member’s prior year travel
- Carbon emissions from travel will be offset up to the maximum of $200
- Emissions are calculated based on system average carbon emissions from jet fuel per passenger mile flown (approximately 0.00018 tons/mile)
- Status member’s annual travel is calculated based on great-circle distance miles flown on all American Airlines operated flights occurring in the calendar year the benefit is chosen
- Members choosing this reward more than once will have their offsets multiplied, up to the maximum specified by tier
- For example, if a member’s calculated carbon emissions require $150 in offsets and the member chooses the benefit twice at Executive Platinum, American will buy $300 in offsets
- This is not a donation and is not tax deductible

15% off award discount (rebate post travel)
- The award discount is a one-time use reward that applies to award travel for up to a maximum of 2 people booked in the same reservation for round-trip travel anywhere on American Airlines, American Eagle®, oneworld® airlines or partner airlines
- Once selected, the award discount will be deposited into your account within 48 hours
- To redeem your award discount, book your award trip at the full award price, and then once travel is complete contact AAdvantage® customer service to receive your rebate
- The AAdvantage® miles associated with the discount will be deposited into your account within 48 hours
- The award must be redeemed from the selecting member’s account but can be applied to travel by anyone of the member’s choosing
- The award discount doesn’t apply to upgrade awards or any other product / service and can’t be used with any other discounts
- Discount applies to the miles only, not to any taxes or fees that may be required for award travel
- Travel must be completed and the discount requested before the expiration date
- Award discount isn’t eligible for award travel completed before the date the award discount is deposited in the member’s wallet
- Award discount may not be transferred
Gift of AAdvantage® status
- Gifted AAdvantage® status will expire when the associated status membership expires
- Status can only be gifted to an AAdvantage® member with status below the gifted tier
- If the recipient currently holds the same status as the gifted tier, you may gift status to them on or after the date their status expires

- No exchanges / returns will be accepted, except if damaged upon arrival
- For warranty related questions / concerns, please contact Bang & Olufsen directly
- Your name, AAdvantage® number, address, phone number and email address may be shared with our 3rd-party distributor (Overture, LLC) and shipping carrier for the purpose of fulfilling / shipping your product and providing tracking information
